Shoeless Joe's - El Alamo is a bar and grill in Recoleta open 24 hours a day. It occupies an entire stately building from circa 1898.
El Alamo is the only location in Argentina that offers every NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, and every college football and basketball game. However, this, is a little misleading since 95% of the clientele has no interest in sports. The usual regulars are a mixture of Argentineans and travelers, with a very high percentage of 18-22 year old females.
It is always crowded, let me repeat, always crowded, 24 hours a day. Why it's so popular is not clear. Argentinean students, especially girls, go to El Alamo because of the cheap food and drink prices in an upscale setting. Plus, girls drink for free most of the time.
It is definitely an experience, but it is not an experience for everyone.

Price Description: As i write this report, inflation is out of control in argentina. restaurants and bars are raising prices on a weekly basis. el alamo has always had the best prices in buenos aires and have not, as of this report, raised their prices

100%I loved this place. Perfect for young people who want to have a beer, meet some chicks or just hang with friends. Yep, its kinda crowded but, who cares with so many good things going on in there..
American SPORTS Bar
100%Love the MLB Playoffs and Series, as well as NFL Sunday Football!! NCAA Football is shown, but with so many games every Saturday, only Major Games are shown. Number of TV's and number of games showing could be greater, but hey, we're in Argentina and THEY SHOW U.S. SPORTS. Suck it up and enjoy a bit of home.
