V!VA User‘s Description

Bellas Artes, a state-run museum dedicated to the fine arts, is often criticized for being poorly organized and under-funded. Although there is some truth to the complaints, the museum is a cornerstone of the cultural history of the city and more than worth a couple of hours. A decent international collection can be passed by quickly to spend more time with the Argentine collection, which includes central works from some of the most important artists from the last five centuries. Beyond the permanent collection, quality exhibits come through and the museum hosts live classical music, movies, book releases, and courses. Check their excellent webpage for up-to-date information on events.
