For any first-timer in Argentina, one will have to do battle to tackle any and all biases one might have, as the country has not always been portrayed most favorably. It is fascinating to learn and experience that the Argentina one might know from soccer matches or politics is a country of great diversity, passion and culture.

The barrio San Telmo, one of Buenos Aires' many districts, offers a unique insight into the Argentine psyche: its old world facades, cute little sidewalk cafés, various parks, and fabulous eateries invite any and all travelers to visit, stay and enjoy all that this slice of Buenos Aires has to offer.

In San Telmo one is regaled and entertained. Every street has something unique to offer and, most notably, Sundays are notorious for spontaneous tango shows and street fairs.
