Going through every shade of pink since it was first painted this color during the presidency of Domingo Faustino Sarmiento in 1870, the Pink House on Plaza de Mayo is the headquarters of the executive power of the Republic of Argentina. Aside from its most important offices, the Pink House holds the Museum of the House of Government, where one can walk through the collections of presidential objects. After an investment of 7.2 million pesos, the renovation of the original façade is expected to unveil for the bicentennial celebration of the Revolution of May in 2010.
