There's a great variety of accommodation options in the center of Buenos Aires—Microcentro, as the locals call it. In this part of town, all of Buenos Aires' Subte lines converge. With two pedestrian thoroughfares, Florida and Lavalle, you’re right next to some great shopping options—though these streets can be a bit chaotic at lunchtime and in the evening, when workers from local businesses flood out from nearby offices. The Microcentro nightlife is quite peaceful, while still being within walking distance of great restaurants. If you’re looking for a last-minute bed, this neighborhood is your best bet.
