Boat Trips - Boating Buenos Aires - Argentina

Decide why you're taking a boat trip and you'll find the perfect boat for your purpose. If you've booked a spa on one of the islands and just need a taxi to your destination, then the small lanchas colectivas will ferry you right there. During summer weekends, these boats end up packed and make a lot more stops, so try to buy your ticket (about 25 pesos) from one of the companies – such as Interisleña - located at the Estación Fluvial - in advance. If you want an hour-long tour through a small part of the delta, hop on one of the lanchas, or large catamarans which also leave from Estación Fluvial. The route takes you past some wonderfully faded waterside mansions, which once belonged to the Buenos Aires elite. For a slow journey through the Parana Delta under you own steam, local companies (such as Puro Remo www.puroremo.com.ar) rent canoes, rowing boats and kayaks, or ask about hiring a wooden rowing boat with driver and guide.
