High season in Tigre is the same as in Buenos Aires – the summer months of October through March see an influx of both Porteños and tourists looking for an escape from the oppressive heat of the city. But beware: mosquitoes love the place as much as we do, and the river delta is not the place to forget repellent at any time of year. In November and March, the Tigre rowing club hosts festive regattas on the river. If you'd like some peace and quiet to wander round the town, plus a balmy temperature go mid-week in late Spring or early Autumn.
