Rain is a strong and constant fixture in Villa Paranacito. Whether you come in the winter or summer, be prepared to get wet. The climate varies considerably depending on the season, averaging 78°F in the summer and dropping to 50°F in the winter. The summer is a much more pleasant time to visit, when you can comfortably enjoy the outdoor attractions.
The major festivals of the area are held in the fall. October 12 is la Fiesta del Isleño in which homage is paid to the statue of the Virgin at the Parroquia Nuestra Señora. The second weekend in November brings with it la Fiesta Provincial de las Carrozas Náuticas. In this celebration, students at the local grade schools create and parade floating carriages. Each carriage represents a different theme unique to the island’s culture.
