Feria De Arte Palermo Viejo - Gallery Buenos Aires - Argentina

Every weekend, over 40 artists descend upon Palermo Viejo (beginning at noon and ending around 8 p.m.) to sell their crafts in the Plaza Julio Cortázar. Here you can find everything from jewelry and bags, to scarves and shoes, hand-crafted sculptures, mate gourds, and hand-made boxes. Most of the items are sold by the artists themselves, who often continue to create pieces while they work. They’re happy to tell you about their methods, so feel free to ask questions. Started by the Sociedad de Fomentos of Palermo Viejo (Society for Public Works), this fair has become a must for every visitor passing through Palermo on a weekend, or anyone who visits Buenos Aires for that matter.
