Mundo Bizarro is a great place to start your night with its hipster-cool attitude, comfortable lounges, sofas, and its red lighted ambiance. A relaxed vintage vibe is apparent everywhere, seen with the art on the walls, and heard through the bohemian soundtrack.
The bathrooms have also been “tagged” by local street artist “Pum Pum,” whose work is immediately apparent during any trip to Buenos Aires, especially in Palermo. The artist’s childlike figures and cutesy bear and rabbit sketches appear everywhere in the city, and in Mundo Bizarro you may even catch a glimpse of the artist but probably never know it.
The menu is reasonably cheap for dinner, and if you feel like sticking around and hording your table until the late night crowd shows up, the place can turn into a pretty hopping club. Mundo Bizarro is also within easy walking distance to Palermo’s bar / club epicenter Plaza Serrano, so after a few delicious cocktails and grub, it is easy to move on to something more rowdy. The club has recently changed locations and is now found at Serrano 1222, so if you are taking a taxi make sure that the driver knows the new address rather than the old location on Calle Guatemala.
The crowd is a solid mix of locals and foreigners. Dress casually but a little trendy.
