You'd think that a city with so many people of Italian descent would be brimming with pasta options. And Buenos Aires is. But with the focus squarely on pizza (you can satisfy your craving for a tasty slice on practically every block of any major avenida), you're more likely to stumble across a Japanese restaurant serving exquisite sushi than the perfect Italian meal. That's where Bice comes in. As pristine and polished as you'd expect a Puerto Madero restaurant to be, Bice, with its red-brick facade and interior of earth tones and wooden surfaces, won't exactly make you feel like you've stepped into a Roman holiday, but the menu features enough elaborately presented dishes to whet any pasta lover's appetite. Parties of two or more should bring a credit card or a few 100-peso bills. You'll need them. Open Sundays to Thursdays, noon to 4 p.m., 7:30 p.m. to 1 a.m., and Fridays and Saturdays, noon to 4 p.m., 7:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m
