Culture

By Jeremy Helligar

The largest library in Argentina, this seemingly gravity-defying structure in Recoleta is more like a museum than a sanctuary for book worms. In addition to its collection of books, newspapers, periodicals, audiovisuals, and rare and original manuscripts, it offers workshops, guest lecturers, art exhibits, expositions and group tours. Every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to noon it has its own radio program, "La muralla y los libros," featuring writers, intellectuals and other cultural movers and shakers on Radio Palermo FM 94.7 or live online at www.radiopalermo.com.ar.
