A growing cultural treasure renewed and extended several times since it first came about at the beginning of the XX century, the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes is currenly located on Libertador avenue in the old Casa de Bombas building. Its collection of international art is contained in a time frame that goes from the Middle Ages to the XX century. The museum also includes a specialized art library with over 150,000 pieces. Recently audio guides in English and Spanish were added to the amenities of this free activity. The Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes is open from Tuesday to Friday from 12:30p.m. until 8:30p.m. and on the weekends from 9:30a.m. until 8:30p.m.
