Retiro encompasses the area surrounding the Plaza San MartĂn. This barrio oozes wealth and is home to some of the more expensive hotels, such as the Sheraton. As well as Plaza San MartĂn, the neighborhood features other grand plazas and some interesting architecture, including the Kavanagh building, and also the English Tower which was constructed in 1916 and is similar to London’s Big Ben. There are also some interesting galleries which are worth a look.
