Irifune

Irifune owners Shimada and Matsuoka are sushi veterans who came to Argentina ten years ago, and have a loyal local following. Small and low-key, the entrance to the restaurant is almost invisible, but once inside, the place is sure to be full of lunchtime diners. For anyone in Buenos Aires with a sushi craving, Irifune is the place to go.

Traveler Reviews of Irifune

Great break from total meat

My wife is 3rd generation Japanese-American and we have toured Japan at least 4 times over the last 15 years.  This dining experience was as good as any we have found in California and the service was absolutely Outstanding.  My Katsu Curry was superb with an Argentinian twist to the curry sauce, as it also had beef cubes !  My wife's sushi was totally satisfying to her and the pricing was most reasonable.  The decor was compatible with any middle-class setting in Tokyo including the high density of the diners to one another.  This is probably NOT the place for an intimate conversation.
