Hostel Nomade

This renovated mansion, located in the laid-back, artsy neighborhood of San Telmo, and on the same block as the Plaza Dorrego, is a great option for budget travelers looking to soak in the area´s vibe. On Sundays, the neighborhood explodes with tango street shows, an outdoor flea market, a crafts fair, and street peddlers of all varieties, and the Hostel Nomade is conventiently located amidst all the action.

With a young, friendly atmosphere, basic dorm rooms, free Internet access, a nice free breakfast, communal bathrooms and kitchen, and a common room with a pool table and television, the Hostel Nomade is a place you could stick around for a while. A good base from which to explore the rest of the city.

Beware that during the summer months the dorm rooms get quite hot and humid, as there are no air conditioners. Thankfully, it´s not uncommon for everyone in the hostel to drag their mattresses to the roof and have a giant slumber party outside, only to be awoken by raindrops in the morning.

Traveler Reviews of Hostel Nomade

great place

San Telmo is my favorite area in Buenos Aires, and I loved my stay at the Hostel Nomade. The place has a good vibe and is close to plazas, parks, bars, restos, markets, etc.
