Colón contains numerous zones perfect for spinning, trolling, fly cast and other types of fishing. Starting at La Leche stream and passing by Playa Municipal, the route ends at Club Piedras Coloradas. Some of the fish found in this area are types of catfish like bagres and surubíes. If casting a line and relaxing on the shore of a river is your cup of tea, there are four main fishing guides in Colón where you can get the equipment. Catamarán San Francisco offers fishing excursions on a boat; call (03447) 423-713. Club de Pescadores also offers guided fishing on a boat, their number is (03447) 492068. La Aldea concentrates on dock and coast fishing, their headquarters is located 15km from Colón; (03447) 423057. Finally, Muñoz Jorge guides fishing excursions to nearby islands on catamaran, call (03447) 423713.
