Córdoba´s center is a labyrinth of shopping bliss. To get started head to Plaza San Martín and from you can access on foot all of the shopping footmalls. Good options outside of the city center include weekend fairs, Patio Olmos shopping center and El Mercado del Ciudad.
Patio Olmos (The corner of San Juan and Vélez Sársfield, Tel.# 03515704100) is a glitzy and ritzy shopping center located right on the nexus between Nueva Córdoba and historic downtown. Offering plenty of name brand goods, electronics, footwear, home decoration, accessories of every variety, entertainment and some tasty restaurants, it is not only stuffed full of anything you could ever need, but is also a popular hang out spot for the locals. The building itself is an impressive fusion of classic architecture with modern glamour, and the plaza out front is constantly full of street vendors selling an assortment of jewellery and trinkets.
On the weekend the best shopping option is to head out to the lively fairs which can be found around the city. The most famous is the Paseo de Las Artes (Belgrano and Francisco de Laprida) which is located right off of Córdoba's main canal: El Cañal. Here local artist gather to show their goods and the activity spills into the surrounding blocks. Arts and crafts, antiques, woodwork, incense, oils, jewellery and home made foodstuffs can all be found with a quick stroll through the lively scene. Open Fridays, Saturdays and holidays from 5:00PM to 6:00PM.
Mercado de Ciudad is a lively bizarre of fresh produce, fish, meat and foodstuffs. Located on the corner of San Martín and Oncativo, it is a fresh cheap choice if you are looking to get some supplies to cook up a hearty meal. Many of the restaurant owners in town get their supplies from El Mercado de Ciudad so the product is top quality at minimum price. In the market there are also a few restaurants serving up Mexican food and Córdoba´s most famous fish dishes.

I am always on the road, always trying to observe and always facinated with my surroundings. I love adventure and luck, both good and...
