Plaza San Martín - Córdoba

Plaza San Martín is the original main square and social center for residents of Córdoba. Bull runs, religious processions, military exercises and various sporting events have been hosted here throughout the city’s history. Now it is best enjoyed during early evenings when locals congregate in the square. The plaza is decorated with Italianate cast-iron fountains, flowers and palms. Oratorio del Obispo Mercadillo, the residence built for Bishop Manuel Mercadillo, remains on the northern edge of the plaza.
