Villa Tulumba, population 1,164, situated in the north of the C├│rdoba province, seems stuck in the colonial period. Its architectural beauty attracts tourists each year, and a lot of Argentinian families own a summer house here. The main colonial-style building is the church Nuestra Se├▒ora, built in 1882, and next to it stand the ruins of a primitive chapel. The chapel hosts the main attraction of Villa Tulumba: the baroque-style tabernacle, made by the Jesuits from the C├│rdoba Cathedral.
If you want to stay overnight in Villa Tulumba, you will find a hotel next to the spa (balnearios) and a campground.
To get to Villa Tulumba, take National Route 60 from Dean Funes and 9 from San Jose de la Dormida, then Province Route 16, which leads you to Villa Tulumba (150 km / 93 mi from C├│rdoba).
