Estancia Jesuitica Alta Gracia and Museo Casa de Virrey Liniers - Historical Building Alta Gracia - Argentina

The Estancia Jesuitica Alta Gracia was built in 1643 and is the site where the town took its roots until the Jesuits were expelled in 1767. The Museo Casa de Virrey Liniers is home to the original dwelling place and workshops of the Jesuits. Both places offer a ton of exhibits and information concerning the social and historical role of the Jesuits in Alta Gracia. The muesem is located on Av. Padre Domingo Viera 41. Tel.: 03547-421303, hours: Tuesday to Friday, 9.00a.m. to 8.00p.m., Saturday and Sunday, 9.30 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. General entry: $5.
