Tanti - Climbing Villa Carlos Paz - Argentina

Tanti, only 9 miles from the city, is a popular tourist destination that marks the jumping off point for many of Carlos Paz´ adventure tours.  It is an entryway to Los Gigantes mountains, extremely popular for climbing, whose highest peak lies at more than 7,800 feet.  The area provides many types of lodging including campsites, hotels and refuges for the climbers. Tanti is also a region rich in plants and animals (among these the endangered Andean condor) making it a good spot for hiking or nature tours.
