You can get to Carlos Paz from Córdoba via four lane highway RN20 (about 40 min.) or two lane highway RN38. You can also opt for the scenic route that passes by the city of La Calera, follows the Primero River and eventually passes the San Roque Dam.
City buses from Córdoba that travel to Carlos Paz are El Serra and Ciudad de Córdoba. The ride is about an hour and both cost less than $1.
Buses back to Córdoba leave at least every 15 min. from Estacion Terminal de Ombibus on Av. San Martín.
In the city you can catch a bus to Tanti or any of the nearby beaches. Sarmiento Diferencial de Pasajeros opposite Plaza Solares has 6 buses daily to Alta Gracia. It is easy to get around the city on foot, and cheap cabs and limos (called remises) are also at your disposal.
Carlos Paz is full of private tour companies who can take you to attractions in or outside of the city.
