Villa Ortiz Basualdo Museo Municipal de Arte Juan C. Castagnino - Museum Mar Del Plata - Argentina

Built as an enormous seaside home for the Ortiz Basualdo family in the early Twentieth Century, the spires that dominate this hillside corner look more like they belong to a legendary haunted house than the local art museum. Inside the lavish structure the original Belgian Art Nouveau furniture, a style of interior design not beer, are on display. The ground floor is dedicated to temporary exhibitions of contemporary art. The top two floors house the permanent collection of the work of Juan Carlos Castagnino. This is a must see for anyone interested in art, history or architecture. With three different exhibits- four if you include the building itself- everyone can afford a quick look.
