Safety

Ironically, Luján features some of Mendoza’s richest and poorest neighborhoods. Pickpocketing is less common than in the busier capital, but theft is abundant in some areas. It is best to err on the side of caution and take either a bus or taxi through questionable areas. The city center is quiet and poses little threat during the day. Like most foreign locations, dark streets should be avoided at night.

The nightclubs attract large crowds in tight quarters. Keep a keen eye on any valuables and watch for drunken locals looking for a fight outside as the night wears on.
