The tourism office (Ruta 40 & Parque de Ayer) marks the arrival to Malargüe for southbound visitors arriving from San Rafael. A few blocks later, Ruta 40 transforms into Calle San Martin, Malargüe’s main street where most businesses, restaurants and tour operators are located.
The Banco de la Nacion (San Martin & Fray Inalican) and Banco Regional de Cuyo (San Martin 363) both offer currency exchange and ATM services, while a Western Union is available, along with mail services, in the Correo Argentino office (Sat. Torre & Adolfo Puebla). Directly across the street from the post office is the LaveRap laundry.
For those looking to maintain contact with friends and family, Locotorio Telefonica (San Martin & Villegas) provides long distance phones, while Ruca-Net (San Martin 455) offers the best Internet connection.
The Don Juan bakery (San Martin & Beltran) sells an excessive assortment of pastries, while SuperG (San Martin 543) is the only centrally located supermarket.
Farmacia San Antonio (San Martin 770) is well stocked in both medicine and toiletry items. The Hospital Regional Malargüe (E. Aldao & Gral. Roca) has good health care, but English-speaking doctors will be nearly non-existent.
