Located south of Lujan de Cuyo, Tupungato houses fine wineries throughout the Uco valley, which they share with San Carlos and Tunuyan. The most famous wineries are likely O’Fournier and Salentein, but a number of others make an overnight journey a possibility. Keep in mind that these wineries attract a high-end luxury market and have prices to prove it.
Also located in Tupungato is its own provincial park. Parque Provincial Tupungato season runs from November to March and most visitors go for a closer glimpse of Volcan Tupungato. Measuring 6820 m, its one of the world’s tallest Volcanoes. Unfortunately, a complicated climbing route makes a summit attempt rare; however, excellent treks, photo safaris and climbing are found within the park.
