Museo Del Pasado Cuyano - Museum Mendoza - Argentina

Once the home of Governors Francisco and Emilio Civit, the Italian-style Museo del Pasado Cuyano house dates back to 1873. Since being declared a National Historic Monument, the building has undergone several recent restoration projects. Today, the museum displays a number of historical documents, including the original “The Crossing of the Andes” manuscript by General Geronimo Espejo. Rooms are dedicated to different historical figures. The Sala Sanmartiniana exhibits artifacts from San Martín’s campaigns, while the Sala de los Gobernadores and Sala Civit focus on Mendoza’s 19th-century political history. The building also houses the city’s Historical Studies Board and library.
