If Plaza Independencia is a bit too populated, just five blocks away is the quiet Plaza Chile. With little foot transit and towering old trees, Plaza Chile is a good place to get away from it all and think things over. In the middle of the park is a monument to O’Higgins and San Martin, but the real monument to the past is the towering trees that include eucalyptus and spectacular local species.
