If you’ve got the money to spend, it’s hard not to enjoy Azafran, one of Mendoza’s premier restaurants. With an impressive glass-walled cellar stocked with some of the regions best wines and a sommelier to help you pair a bottle with your food, this restaurant is a great place to sample Mendoza’s culinary experience. The restaurant’s chefs put modern twists on Argentine favorites, including Pampas-raised beef served with melted gorgonzola and Patagonian deer and lamb cooked to perfection. Expect to pay around $15 for a main plate, with a bottle of wine going for $10 and up – way up if you’re so inclined.
