Spelunking in Caverna de las Brujas

There are many opportunities to go caving in the Caverna de las Brujas. Shop around to find the best price tour. This is a long tour–over 500 kilometer–so expect to leave early, around 6 a.m. You won’t be back in San Rafael until 9 p.m. The route stops in the small town of El Malargüe at the base of the dramatic Andes and from there climbs to a series of caves where the afternoon is spent spelunking. Because of road conditions, agencies normally begin offering the trip to the caves in November and end in early fall. An optional trip up to the ski area can be added to the day.
