Most people tag on the adventure portion to a day excursion from one of the travel agencies in San Rafael, but to skip the middleman, take local transportation out to Valle Grande to the offices of Kintun Expediciones. Kintun offers rafting, scuba diving, hiking, climbing and fishing. Guides are experienced and the equipment is, if not the latest technology, generally good and safe. Tents and other camping gear can be rented for those interested in spending a night in the hills. Prices for excursions range from $6.35 for guided hike or a short rafting outing to $63.70 for a deluxe fishing trip.
