Bodegas Suter

Location:
Avenida H. Yrigoyen 2850
San Rafael, Argentina

Other Activity

By Brian Hagenbuch

Suter is Argentina’s oldest running winery and consequently makes for one of the most interesting tours. The progression of wine-making is represented by the different artifacts around the grounds, from the huge oak barrels shipped across the ocean over 100 years ago from France to the stainless steel vats used for distilling today. The tours run all day and also take you down into the catacombs beneath the winery where you can learn what it takes to get the bubbles in champagne. The Suter wines themselves are known for being middle of the road but a good value.
