Halfway in between Colón and Concordia on route N14, the 8,500 hectare conservation park El Palmar offers panoramic views of hundreds of Yatay palm trees, a species that has lost presence in the area. A trip to this natural sanctuary will give you the opportunity spot wildlife such as lizards, vizcachas, foxes, capybaras and woodpeckers. As you enter the park, you will be given a map with trails and main roads in which you are free to explore, or if you prefer, there are cycling tours offered by Capybara Aventura. Camping grounds with amenities like hot water and electricity open up in the summer, but be aware this time of year the park gets crowded.
