Historic, shady Plaza 25 de Mayo is literally surrounded by history in the form of its colonial architecture. Check out the sights, get something to drink in a café and then right on the corner of the Plaza you can find the Museo de Artesanîas Tradicionales Folclóricas (Quintana 905, Tel.# 03783475945), which is located in a restored colonial mansion. You can find nice exhibits with typical Corriente art, but the building also serves as a studio for local artist and teachers of craft. Watch the magic unfold as ceramic, metal and woodwork is carefully carried out and taught by the masters themselves.
