Corrientes, a city founded in 1588, is probably your best launching place to spots of interest in the Corrientes Province. Other satellite trips you may want to consider from Corrientes include Paso de la Patria to the north which has some of Argentina’s best sport fishing and San Luis del Palmar, founded in 1596 with colonial architecture dating back to that year.
