The first thing to do in Rosario is take a stroll down the Cordoba foot mall, through Plaza 25 de Mayo and onward toward the Monumento Nacional de la Bandera, which is an impressive sight and offers plenty to do.
The massive 70 meter tall monument primarily commemorates General Manuel Belgrano who is accredited with creating the Argentine flag. The massive tower stands on the exact spot where the first Argentine flag was raised and is a source of great pride for many Argentineans.
Below the tower is a museum celebrating the "flags of the Americas" where flags from nearly every country of the American continents, from Canada to Chile are displayed. Don't forget to head to the top of the tower for the views during the day, but the monument itself is most impressive by night when it is bathed in blue lights and looks like a massive replica of the flag.

The place is great. There are many things that are not described in the review. For example, the beautiful parks all over the riverbank, like Parque España, with its large stairs and gorgeous view, or the nice Urquiza park, with its beautiful buildings and planetarium. Also excluded from the review, is the big Parque Independencia, with its lake, French and Italian gardens, dancing fountain, museums, and Newell's Old Boys first division team stadium. The architecture on the downtown is really nice, specialy on the Oroño street which is full of manors. Night life in Rosario is also great, with excellent dancing places, many pubs, cinemas, theaters, music shows, and a large quantity of restaurants and bars, specialy on Pellegrini street. The city has also two mayor shopping places, the Alto Rosario and the Portal de Rosario, both very nice, but the best shopping place is the pedestrian Cordoba Street with its seven blocks full of activity. I`m from Italy and I love this city, because of all I've said previously and because of its people, who are very kind.
