Information

The city of Paraná operates good tourism offices downtown (Buenos Aires 132, Tel: 423-0183, E-mail: informes@turismoparana.gov.ar, URL: www.turismoparana.gov.ar), at the bus terminal (Av. Ramírez 2300, Tel: 420-1862) and at Parque Urquiza (Laurencena and San Martín, Tel: 420-1862). All branches are open daily 8 a.m.-8 p.m. The provincial tourism office has little information on-hand, and refers tourists to its website (Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-1 p.m. Laprida 5, E-mail: turismo@entrerios.gov.ar, URL: www.unatierradiferente.com). Other services are police (Córdoba 351, Tel: 420-9250) and ACA (Buenos Aires 333, Tel: 421-9650).

Money

Many banks are on San Martín, Buenos Aires and Pellegrini streets. Teller hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-1 p.m. All have 24-hour ATMs. The following cash US dollars and Euros:

The nearest casa de cambio is in Santa Fe.

Communications

The post office is at Plaza 1º de Mayo (Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-8 p.m, Saturday 8:30 a.m.-noon. Caseros and 25 de Mayo). Locutorios or phone centers are common, especially along San Martín and Alem streets. Internet cafés are a bit rarer, and are typically closed Saturday afternoon and Sunday. One open daily is TechLan, which has Skype and a café-bar (Urquiza 1071).

Medical

Paraná has a general public hospital, Hospital San Martín (Presidente Perón 450, Tel: 431-2222) and a children's facility, Hospital de Niños (La Paz 435, Tel: 431-3117). Many pharmacies are within a four-block radius of Plaza 1º de Mayo. FarMar is open 24 hours (España and Pellegrini).
