Camping Bomberos Voluntarios

Camping Bomberos Voluntarios is a true bargain for travelers packing a tent. Facilities include picnic tables, clean toilets, and blessedly hot showers. Be aware that the camp is situated in a flood-prone area. It is open all year (Yrigoyen, and Moreno, Tel.: 49-1117 – adults $2.25 per person, under 12 years old $1.40).

Directly across from Camping Bomberos Voluntarios, on the other bank of Río Chubut, is Camping Los Doce Nogales. This campground next to a rodeo rink in the chacra sector has a bathhouse with showers and fire pits. It is open only in summer (Tel.: 1562-4896 / 49 –1958 -- $2.80 per person, under 12 years old free).
