Fishing around Río Gallegos - Other Activity Río Gallegos - Argentina

Anglers can practice their favorite sport in the crystalline rivers surrounding Río Gallegos. From November through April, avid fly casters and spinners line the banks of the Gallegos, Chico Sur, Gallegos Chico and Coig Rivers patiently awaiting trout to nip the bait on their hooks. Rainbow, brown and brook are the varieties that swim in these waterways. Trucha marrón, sea-run brown trout, are common in the Río Gallegos. Another hot fishing spot to try is Puesto del Diablo at the confluence of the Río Gallegos Chico into the Río Gallegos.
