San Antonio Oeste is 6 kilometers (3.6 mi) off Ruta Nacional 3. The turn-off for San Antonia Este is off Ruta 3 North. It is 66 kilometers (41 mi) from Las Grutas. From San Antonio Este begins Ruta Provincial 1 to El Cóndor, near Viedma.

Each company has its own office from which their buses depart. In summer are more departures and destinations.

Paradero Olaff (Sarmiento and Güemes, Tel.: 42-16749 is the station for Vía TAc, Vía Bariloche, El alle, Don Otto, Patagónica and other related companies.

To Río Gallegos and points between: (noon, $72, 19.5 hours; passes through Puerto Madryn and Comodoro Rivadavia), Buenos Aires ($56-69), Córdoba ($31-50), Tucumán ($75), Jujuy ($91-110)

Train

The train to Bariloche and Viedma still passes through San Antonio Oeste; connecting service to Buenos Aires may be made once a week from Carmen de Patagones, across the river from Viedma. The station is at the end of Sarmiento, past Mitre (Monday 6 .m.-noon, 4-7 p.m.; Tuesday, Thursday 8:30 a.m.-noon, 4-7:30 p.m.; Friday 8:30 .m.-noon, 6-9 p.m.; Saturday 8 a.m.-noon. The train also has an auto carrier. During the summer and winter high seasons a cine car is added and there are more departures.

Plane

San Antonio Oeste’s airstrip is Aeropuerto Antoine de Saint Exupery (Ruta Provincial 2, Tel.: 42-1329). At present, no scheduled flights depart from here. Lade airlines has a local office (Moreno and Yrigoyen, Tel.: 42-1500).
