Museo Regional Desiderio Torres - Museum Sarmiento - Argentina

Located in the former train station, Museo Regional Desiderio Torres is an excellent museum that has fantastic exhibits on A贸nikenk and Mapuche culture, lifestyle and beliefs, explaining their customs from birth to death. Another section displays buggies, a wooden washing machine and other colonial artifacts. The museum contains many unique objects in its 30,000-item collection, including a snake fossil and the only Argentine flag ever made with the help of indigenous people: European women sewed it and the A贸nikenk women painted the sun with dyes made from calafate berries and molle root.
