Information Offices

Gaiman's tourism office, Informes Turísticos, is helpful and friendly (daily 9 a.m.-7 p.m., in summer to 8 p.m. Belgrano and Rivadavia, Tel.: 49-1571, E-mail: informes@gaiman.gov.ar, URL: www.gaiman.gov.ar). The police station is at Tello and Sarmiento (Tel.: 49-1017 / emergency 101).

Money

Banco del Chubut has an ATM and exchanges U.S. dollars (Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Evans and Yrigoyan).

Communications

For keeping in touch with the outside world, the village has a post office (Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-10:30 a.m., Saturday 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Evans and Yrigoyen) and three locutorios for both phone and Internet services ($0.80): K & S (Tello 448), Telefonica (Tello 456) and Mattar (Brown 625).

Medical

Medical facilities are limited to a small hospital (Tello s/n, east entrance of town, Tel.: 49-1002) and one pharmacy, Farmacia del Valle (Tello and 25 de Mayo, Tel.: 49-1130).
