Paddling the rivers and lakes is a great way to enjoy El Chaltén's glacier-frosted spire mountains and ancient forests. Traveling the gravel-braided RÃo de las Vueltas is a popular trek. Another is to navigate Lago del Desierto, where you can put ashore and hike to the foot of Glaciar Huemul. A two-day / one-night expedition runs down RÃo La Leona.
