Mid Range Restaurants in El Calafate

From simple snack shops to expensive restaurants, there is a wide variety of food options available in El Calafate. Most restaurants are located along the main drag, Avenida Libertador, and tend to be a little pricey, but that’s how it is in expensive Patagonia. The town is a good place to try typical Patagonain dishes like lamb, trout, and salmon, as well as ice creams, pastries, and jams made from El Calafate’s namesake calafate berry. A few grocery stores are scattered along the main street; these are good for stocking up on snacks and packed lunches.
