Villa La Angostura is a village enriched by natural beauty, fun outdoor excursions, and amazing log and stone architecture. You can while away the time looking at the rustic, hand-carved, wooden architecture of the area, spend your afternoons relaxing on the black sand beaches, or venture through the protected national parks. The village is actually split into different neighborhoods. El Cruce, Las Piedritas, and El Once make up the main part of town, which offers nightlife, the majority of restaurants and museums. La Villa, just outside city center, is the port area offering boat trips to various sections of Lake Nahuel Huapi. Puerto Manzano, a few kilometers east of town, is the upper-class option for accommodations, also home to some of the more accessible black sand beaches. Las Balsas, east of town and near Puerto Manzano, is located at the base of the local ski area, Cerro Bayo.
