Villa La Angostura is easily reached by bus, plane or car. The main thoroughfare into the village is Ruta 237, which is located from the north via Ruta 231, the Seven Lakes route coming from San Martín de los Andes, or from Chile by way of the Paso Cardenal Samoré.

The closest major airport is the San Carlos de Bariloche International, a 45 minute drive or bus ride away. There are numerous buses that travel to and from Bariloche. Among the most popular are Via Bariloche (Tel: 49-4360), Andesmar (49-5217), or Albus (Tel: 49-4721).

The main Villa La Angostura bus terminal, Terminal de Ómnibus (49-4961), is located in El Cruce (the cross) at the junction of Avenida Siete Lagos and Avenida Arrayanes, across the street from the main tourist office. The majority of the buses make stops at Terminal de Ómnibus.

Other bus companies that don't run from the main terminal are Chevallier (Avenida Arrayanes 235. Tel: 49-405) and Tas Choapa (Avenida Arrayanes 152. Tel: 49-4572).

Algarrobal (49-4360), La Araucana (49-4217), and Albus (49-4721) are the major forms of transportation to San Martín de los Andes, and other neighboring villages, via the Seven Lakes Route (2 ½ hour trip), which leaves several times daily.

Via Bariloche (49-4360) and Crucero del Norte (49-4217) offer trips direct to Buenos Aires. Andesmar (49-5217) offers a direct route to Mendoza and northern Argentina.
