Santa Rosa is not inundated with independent tourists, and therefore neither with budget accommodation. Hotels are not horrendously overpriced, but are tailored more toward the business traveller and families. A solo travel can often yield a relatively high hotel bill.
Mid-range, well-maintained hotels dominate the city and are spread around the edges, as well as concentrated near the bus station and the Plaza.
Camping is possible at Laguna Don Tomás and the two Parques, which is the cheaper yet less accessible option.
