Safety
San Salvador de Jujuy is a pretty typical northern Argentine town in terms of safety. If you are walking around, especially in a group, there should be no problems in tourist areas. It is advisable to take a taxi late at night, especially for women. Always practice common sense: do not flash expensive items or make a scene after drinking too much Argentine wine.
