It may have “Hostal” in the title, but this lavish, eco-friendly hotel is most definitely not a hostel. Its “hotel rates,” however, are a steal for the quality and comfort they buy: cozy (yet large) rooms, environmentally friendly practices, and staff ready to help with anything from laundry to guided tours. All this within a complex of lovely adobe buildings the color of the fiery red mountains that back it—it may just be enough to make it all seem like a mirage.
